The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGA, USCGAUX, CGAux, or USCG Aux) is the civilian uniformed volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard.[2] Congress established the unit on 23 June 1939, as the United States Coast Guard Reserve. On 19 February 1941, the organization was re-designated as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. The Auxiliary exists to support all USCG missions on the water or in the air, except for roles that require "direct" law enforcement or military engagement. As of 2022, there were approximately 21,000 members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Collectively the Auxiliary contributes over 4.5 million hours of service each year and completed nearly 500,000 missions in service to support the Coast Guard. Every year Auxiliarists help to save approximately 500 lives, assist 15,000 distressed boaters, conduct over 150,000 safety examinations of recreational vessels, and provide boater safety instruction to over 500,000 students. In total the Coast Guard Auxiliary saves taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year.
Our Delrin Acetal Resin stamps are made from high-quality materials sourced in California, USA. We use 1/2” (12.70mm) cast material and our 100 watt laser to create stamps with super high resolution for the best quality and longevity. We can produce stamps from nearly any image or artwork you supply us with, and we can also hand draw custom logos, maker’s marks, or other art.
Our stamps have been tested to leave highly detailed impressions in leather from 3 ounce up to 16 ounce without any issue. They can be used repetitively in our choice of a 1 ton hand press, or even up to a 20 ton hydraulic press. All stamps have characteristics to consider when choosing a press or application method, but the resin we use has a tensile strength of 9,000 lbs.
If you choose a mallet application type, please note that it is more volatile to the tool. If your stamp has very small features, take extra care to get the most out of it. The mallet application type will require the use of a Hefty Handle, which can be purchased on our website.
