Is my order secure?The Thistle & Bone e-commerce platform provides a security infrastructure that makes the claim of being "as secure as a bank" highly credible. Do you offer laser etching & cutting services?Yes, we offer laser etching and cutting services on many of our items, or items that you bring to us or want to have made. Our laser has a working space of 36 inches by 55 inches and we can mass produce many items that you may need. We can etch monograms, names, quotes, and images or any other vectorized graphics on your items. For custom etching, please note this during checkout in the additional information section of the item. Items with laser etching options will have a custom option or note on the item detail page. We also provide advice on the types of materials that are safe to use. Odd shaped items, such as gloves, or bags with un-uniform surfaces may not be suitable for laser etching.

How can I request a custom item?To request a custom item, visit our Custom Order Form and let us know your requirements. We will discuss your needs, send you an invoice, and create your item. If you purchase an item that can be customized, contact us after placing your order, and we will work to meet your customization needs.

Is your workshop eco-friendly?The Thistle & Bone has adopted a standard to provide our customers and community with consumable materials only when absolutely necessary. For example, when creating bath products that could cause a health concern if dropped due to broken glass, or when producing products that require plastic or aerosol sprays, we may use materials that could be harmful to the environment. We take our environmental footprint seriously, though, and strive to reuse packaging, create packaging in-house, and source raw materials ethically and from organic sources. We do not use GMO products, nor do we use products with excessive preservatives or any by-products that could cause harm. Can I get a discount if an item I purchased goes on sale?Yes! If an item you purchased goes on sale within 14 days of your purchase, you can get the discount. Just email us at info@thethistleandbone.com with your name and order number, and we will refund the price difference to your payment method.

Why is sales tax added to my order?Our workshop is licensed for business in Washington State. Due to the legal theft of the State, all orders placed for addresses inside of the state are subject to sales tax. If you are outside of the state, you should not see sales tax applied, unless there is a state mandate to collect tax on the sale of that particular item.

Why does the shipment box look re-used?The workshop is environmentally conscious and finds that the condition of the exterior box used for shipping does not affect the quality of the item(s). We attempt to re-use any boxes we receive materials in, and use any packaging that contains plastics multiple times, all in an effort to sustain our planet for future generations of makers and customers. To date, we have re-used 75% of our packing materials, only using 15% in new materials.

How do you source your materials?Our material origins depends on the specific needs of each project however, we have a high standard for whom we do business. We prioritize local businesses that meet our standards for quality and ethical practices. Supporting our local community is crucial to our success. We seek out smaller companies that guarantee quality, source materials responsibly, and operate ethically with respect to the environment and community.
