The Six Elements Workshop Penny journal is a travel-sized notebook that has been improved from traditional Midori style notebooks, popular among those who enjoy travel journaling, bullet journaling, or keeping a diary.
 
At the workshop, our products are often based on what we like to use, and then improved or modified to suit our preferences. Since the beginning of the workshop, we used Moleskine books to keep track of our ideas, designs, and daily tasks. The issue with this was that each Moleskine book only made sense for one subject, so we needed more journals and ended up leaving one in the shop when we needed it in the office, and vice versa. Thus, the Midori style journal became an appealing item to investigate due to its ability to neatly contain more subjects while also being expandable to facilitate our changing needs.
 
Now, we at the Six Elements Workshop have created our Penny journal. It is made from full-grain oil tanned leather and has a copper penny clasp to hold all the shock cord in place. Three independent cords are used to make sure the journal is expandable to six separate books, or comfortably allowing four books with Midori extras, such as dividers, kraft organizers, or pouches.
 
Our particular journal also uses a copper penny as a bookmark weight. Plus, you can customize your journal with any artwork, quotes, or initials you may want.
 
All journals will come with three lined books. If you would like to swap out your books with something else, there is an additional cost, but we can accommodate your needs prior to shipping out your item. Our journals accept all 8.25” x 4.25” inserts and fillers.
